Who We Are
Maka Homes is a full-service general contractor with special expertise in the design of residential remodeling. Dan Maka founded Maka Homes and is the man behind the “creative intuition". Born into a real estate family, Dan's interest in construction started at an early age through woodworking projects with his dad. He was only 11 years old when he helped rehab a house with his parents and Dan's world changed forever. Fast forward to today, Dan has over 20 years of experience building more than 2,000 homes, schools, strip malls, and banks. In 2010, Dan served as a subject matter expert for the development of the UPC-based master plumber test. He also spent three years as a volunteer firefighter in Crete Illinois which fueled his desire to give back to the community in many ways. Dan's drive and love for creativity led him to discover his true passion – Maka Homes!
